Rap Music by Dr Dre
These days when people hear the name Dr Dre, they wonder when his new rap album called detox will finally come out, as its been a long awaited hip hop record which will feature excellent production and beats. He was born in 1965, both an excellent rapper and producer, being the owner of Aftermath entertainment, a popular rap music label featuring some of the highest selling artists out there today.
He is especially known for creating a musical genre called G-Funk, which is a slowed down, funky version of gangsta rap. His first group called N.W.A. was extremely popular and put the west coast on the map. He is totally considered west coast in the rap music he is releasing. Dr Dre has won a grammy for being the best hip hop producer of the year, and he is respected by all kinds of figures in the music business, whether or not they are interested in rap.
Talented at discovering emerging talent, Dr Dre is credited with signing eminem, which was a wise move, because eminem ended up selling millions and millions of rap albums. We can also give Dr Dre credit for being lyrically involved with many people he works with, he helps people develop their unique style and flow.
